It has been a tradition at our annual conference that the SCMA president recognizes several SCMA members who have either made a significant impact to the organization and/or made extra efforts in their support to the president during their term in office.

For 2020 the following three people are receiving this recognition. Watch these short videos of their presentation.  Their efforts, contributions, and support are very much appreciated!

Leslie Kushner

Leslie has impacted the organization with her leadership of the SCMA outreach committee while at the same time serving in the officer role as secretary of the SCMA board of directors.

Sidney Kanazawa and Aaron Larks-Stanford

Sidney and Aaron, who co-lead the west side PDG found a way to hold these meetings after the pandemic hit. They had the vision to use the zoom platform, when it was fairly new to people, as a process to keep these meetings ongoing. They were a role model for other PDG’s to emulate, made these meetings more accessible, and kept this SCMA benefit not only alive, but thriving.
