About SCMA Professional Development Groups (PDG’s) are member-led peer groups. PDG’s connect SCMA members for the purpose of sharing, supporting one another, and staying up to date with current and ongoing
developments in the mediation field. The topics are varied allowing for plenty of dialogue where members can learn from each other. Definitely one of our most popular activities with attendance varying from 12 - 45 at each session.
As a result of recent events due to the pandemic the PDG groups made a pivot in transitioning from in-person sessions to holding their sessions via the zoom meeting platform. Although everyone appreciated the in-person sessions that were previously held, utilizing the zoom format has opened up the availability of attending more PDG sessions because the challenge and time involved in navigating traffic has been removed.
SCMA members are welcome to attend any of the PDG meetings, included as part of your membership.
