|Professional Development Groups|
SCMA Professional Development Groups (PDG’s) are member-led peer groups located throughout Southern California. PDG’s connect local SCMA members for the purpose of sharing, supporting one another, and staying up to date with current and ongoing developments in the mediation field. The topics are varied allowing for plenty of dialogue where members can learn from each other. Definitely one of our most popular activities with attendance varying from 12 - 45 at each session.
Prior to March 2020 PDGs were held once a month in the following locations:
Due to the recent pandemic situation, the PDG groups have ceased to hold any in-person sessions. Those PDGs that continue to meet are holding their sessions via the zoom meeting platform. Although everyone appreciated the in-person sessions that were previously held, utilizing the zoom format has opened up the availability of attending more PDG sessions because the challenge and time involved in navigating traffic has been removed.
SCMA members are welcome to attend any of the PDG meetings.

Watch for meeting announcements on the SCMA Calendar or from emails that are sent out to all SCMA members on the listserv.
