SHELLEY ALLEN | Treasurer
Shelley Allen’s professional experience in conflict resolution and relationship facilitation goes back to the earliest days of her career as a Social Worker. As a senior leader and consultant, Shelley's had the opportunity to garner experience across a number of industries and organizational cultures providing pragmatic solutions that work in everyday life. At this point, she has more than 20 years building expertise, solutions, systems, teams, and trainings to meet organizational needs and individuals involved. Shelley founded Allen Conflict Solutions, LLC in 2019 when her diverse career afforded her the opportunity to focus her skills on her favorite part of the work; where people, problem-solving, and relationship intersect. She now leverages her expertise in conflict management and relationship building to help others find constructive agreement through facilitation, mediation, coaching, training, and team building. She also supports and equips others as an adjunct Professor for Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law through the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. Additionally, Shelley is dedicated to service. Currently, she volunteers with Centinela Youth Services, Inc., is a member of the American Bar Association, Southern California Mediators’ Association, and Mediators Beyond Borders. Given her personal and professional background, she is drawn to working with vulnerable populations and the organizations or systems intended to support them. Regardless of the area she’s operating in, Shelley leans toward intentional empathy and practical solutions through Transformational Restorative Practices. Shelley is grateful for the benefit of an excellent, relevant education. She had the opportunity to attend Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law earning two Master’s degrees; a Master’s in Dispute Resolution and a Master’s in Legal Studies with an emphasis in Employment Law. She also holds a BA in Business and Human Resources Management from Simpson University. These degrees are in addition to multiple certifications including Facilitating Restorative Practice Conferences and Facilitating Restorative Practice Circles from the International Institute for Restorative Practices Graduate School.
