Claudia Brown Coulter is the President of the Southern California Mediation Association and the go-to mediator for families with special needs children facing divorce. With over 20 years as a public school teacher and a Master’s in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine’s Straus Institute, she brings deep expertise to complex family dynamics involving education, disability, and high-conflict co-parenting. Claudia offers online mediation nationwide through her practice, Pivotal Peace, where she also provides coaching and document preparation services. She co-leads the Family Mediation Institute, contributes to the Western Justice Center, and is a frequent speaker and trainer at the intersection of family systems, conflict resolution, and special education.
