Anne Jordan

Ms. Jordan arbitrates and mediates disputes through Jordan Associates, LLC and represents multi-national corporations as well as start-ups on a variety of corporate, commercial, transactional and litigation matters as Of Counsel to the Chicago firm Mandell Menkes LLC. Ms. Jordan is on the American Arbitration Association’s commercial and employment panels, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution’s (CPR) Panel of Distinguished Neutrals, and is included on the Northern District of Illinois’s list of mediators available for the Lanham Act Mediation Program. As an arbitrator and mediator, she has helped resolve numerous high-value disputes, including matters related to technology contract breaches, various patent and trademark infringements and wrongful terminations.

Throughout her 30+ year legal career, Ms. Jordan has focused on technology and intellectual property law, working for years as general counsel to three corporations. She has substantial experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial transactions, and has been involved in litigating numerous commercial and intellectual property disputes. Ms. Jordan has routinely worked with clients to implement processes to resolve disputes more quickly and cost-effectively.

From 1999 until 2004, Ms. Jordan served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of PeopleSoft, Inc., the world's second largest provider of enterprise application software with annual revenues of approximately $ 2.8 billion. Prior to joining PeopleSoft, Ms. Jordan was Vice President and General Counsel for Sega of America, Inc. Before that she was a partner in the Silicon Valley firm Carr & Ferrell. She has also held positions as Vice President and General Counsel for Worlds of Wonder, Inc., a manufacturer of electronic toys and games, and Assistant General Counsel for Dole Foods, Inc., a $2 billion food processing and real estate development corporation, and as Corporate Counsel with Beatrice Companies, Inc. and Gould Inc., both Fortune 500 companies.

Ms. Jordan is a frequent speaker on technology, intellectual property, e-discovery and ethics topics and has been published in numerous legal journals. She is the past chair of the ABA Dispute Resolution Section’s Task Force on Early Dispute Resolution and currently serves on the board of the EDR Institute. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and California and holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.

 

Peter Silverman

Peter Silverman is a partner in Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, and has been practicing law since 1981. He specializes in franchise law and alternative dispute resolution. As a neutral, Peter has been an arbitrator since 1986 and a mediator since 1990. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association Large, Complex Case Arbitration Panel, the Conflict Prevention & Resolution Panel of Distinguished Neutrals, and the Ohio Chapter of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. He is also the sole United States arbitrator on the Chair/Sole Arbitrator Panel of the European Union-based International Distribution Institute, which offers expedited arbitration for international distribution and franchising disputes. He founded and is a trustee of the Early Dispute Resolution Institute. He teaches seminars nationwide and writes widely on alternative dispute resolution.

 

Michael Hawash

Michael A. Hawash is the founder of Hawash Houston Mediation in Houston, Texas. Over a litigation career spanning four decades, Michael represented many of the world’s largest corporations and insurance companies while working for Big Law. In 2009, Michael opened his own litigation boutique and slowly but surely found himself shedding trial work in favor of alternative dispute resolution. Today, Michael is a mediator, arbitrator and trained early dispute resolution neutral, committed to helping disputants avoid the time, expense and uncertainties of the courthouse. An early advocate of the Early Dispute Resolution Practice Protocols, Michael writes and speaks on early dispute resolution topics and serves on the board of directors for the EDR Institute.

 

Harold Coleman, Jr.

 

Harold Coleman, Jr., Esq., is an award-winning dispute resolution practitioner, educator, and peace-building champion. He is an attorney, arbitrator, mediator, conciliator, facilitator, teacher, trainer, speaker, writer and conflict coach.

Harold is senior vice president for mediation at the American Arbitration Association (AAA)… the global dispute resolution leader, and mediator/executive director for AAA Mediation.org…an AAA technology innovation that trains and develops mediators, promotes their practices, and connects them with a diverse community of users and ADR thought leaders worldwide. He also trains new AAA arbitrators and aspiring mediators in basic/advanced arbitration case management techniques and basic/advanced mediation skills.
