Happy New Year! With our apologies for the late reminder, my co-leaders Jack Schaedel, Mike Strauss, and I just wanted to invite all of you to the next meeting of theEmployment Mediation Professional Development Group: "Dealing with an Employer That's Broke (Allegedly)", to be held THIS MONDAY at 6 pm (our regular 2nd Monday of the month meeting)! After the rousing success of our first meeting, we're looking forward to another large turn-out for our first topical/practical PDG meeting. We plan on discussing some of the issues that arise in mediation when an employer claims to be close to bankruptcy and unable to meet anything close to an employee's settlement demand, and we will not only present anecdotes from our own respective experiences, but also some practical tools to use in such situations. We hope that some of you will also be willing to share similar experiences that you have had.
