We are excited to present a discussion on Co-Mediation, featuring our distinguished guest speaker, Gerry DeSimone. Gerry will share his experiences on co-mediation, highlighting the advantages of this dynamic approach, emphasizing the diversity of skills, perspectives, and backgrounds that co-mediators bring to the table. He will provide real-world examples to illustrate best practices in successful co-mediation scenarios across various contexts, and you, our attendees are encouraged to share your experiences as well. Our goal is for all attendees to gain insight and a deeper understanding of how a blending of dispute resolution perspectives in a co-mediation setting can enhance the ADR process. After a 38-year run as an active and successful trial attorney, Gerry DeSimone shifted his focus and passion from litigation to education and began teaching at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law while taking classes at Pepperdine’s renowned Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution where he received his LLM. Gerry is a 20-plus year member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) with a breadth of experience representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants in various areas of litigation. His familiarity with the nuances and complexities of litigation enables him to have an astute perspective on the benefits of settlement versus the financial, emotional, and other attendant risks of going to trial. This is a discussion not to be missed! Please join us on Monday, December 18 at 6:00 PM on ZOOM (Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/99554401831?pwd=Y2FtY1ZEazBWT0FLL2txTWNXVVNFdz09 - Meeting ID: 995 5440 1831 / Passcode: 308853) Warmest Regards, Your PDG Trio--Anthony Khoury, Mike Strauss and Lori Dobrin
