The Southern California Mediation Association’s attorney outreach committee presents a FREE webinar on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. PST, as we discuss the ability, and often the necessity, of mediators to take mediations beyond the traditional format to facilitate settlements. The panel will discuss how mediators must be creative and how they can, and when they should, pivot during the mediation process to overcome obstacles to reaching resolutions. The panel will also explain how attorneys can best prepare themselves and their clients for mediations that take such a turn, and how attorneys can do their own pivoting to best benefit their clients during the mediation process. The panel features two outstanding mediators, Daniel Ben-Zvi, Esq. of ADR Services, and Lee Jay Berman of the Mediation Offices of Lee Jay Berman. Craig C. Lang, Esq., co-chair of the SCMA Attorney Outreach Committee and Board Secretary of SCMA, will moderate. This program is available to any mediators and attorneys, including non-members of SCMA). Supporting reading materials will be distributed before the program to all who register. Daniel Ben-Zvi, Esq.
