For the Westside PDG's July meeting, Victoria Gray will share with us  what it takes to be a government mediator with the National Mediation Board (NMB). How many among us can say we've mediated labor disputes  between multi-billion dollar corporations and tens of thousands of employees? What about mediations that have been ongoing for over a  year? How many of us have experience mediating with the ongoing threat of labor actions like strikes and lock-outs? There are few parallels  to mediating with the NMB and the differences are too many to list here. We're sure you'll find this area of mediation fascinating and  Victoria's personal experience incredibly interesting. You may never see flight attendants and pilots the same way again.

Victoria is a mediator and a trainer with an extensive background in  labor advocacy, collective bargaining negotiations and labor/management grievance and contract mediation. In the last eleven  years her mediation experience includes cases while serving as a federal mediator, a Los Angeles County Superior Court Panel member, a  mediator for Southern California Family Mediation (SCFM) for the Los Angeles County Dependency Court, and Equal Employment Opportunity  Commission settlement conference panel mediator.
