For decades, the Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA) has been the leading voice for mediators in our region. Now, we’re taking the next step—expanding statewide to better represent, support, and connect mediators across all of California.
As the largest mediation organization in the state, this expansion reflects who we already are and where we’re headed: a statewide community advancing mediation and ensuring it is accessible, visible, and valued by all.
What This Expansion Means
SCMA’s statewide expansion will:
Unite mediators and ADR professionals under one strong, inclusive network.
Advocate for broader access and more meaningful opportunities for professional mediators to serve and make an impact.
Educate the public through new digital resources and a statewide mediator directory.
Strengthen mediation’s visibility and credibility throughout California.
These initiatives will help shape the future of our profession—and ensure that mediation remains a trusted, accessible path to resolving conflict.
Our statewide vision includes:
Creating new opportunities for professional mediators through expanded programs, partnerships, and visibility
Serving as a public education hub to help individuals and communities understand mediation
Leveraging technology to build digital tools, online resources, and a new public-facing website and mediator directory
Our goal is simple: to make mediation a recognized and trusted path for conflict resolution throughout California.
